CITY OF PORT ARANSAS TO DECLARE APRIL 5, 2018 “SPURS DAY”

Proclamation to be Read During a Press Conference at City Hall

Port Aransas Mayor Pro-Tem Wendy Moore will read a proclamation declaring April 5, 2018 “Spurs Day” in Port Aransas during a press conference at City Hall, 710 W. Ave. A, on Thursday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. Moore will be joined by community leaders and Spurs Sports & Entertainment executives to discuss the ongoing collective recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

During the press conference, Spurs Sports & Entertainment staff members will be dispersed throughout the Port Aransas area participating in service projects aimed at assisting the community in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. An afternoon pep rally at Port Aransas High School and Olsen Elementary School with The Spurs Coyote and Spurs Silver Dancers will bring Spurs spirit to the community.
